help, site won’t work

    I installed WP-Hive because I wanted to have a sub blog that I could test a new theme on. I installed, I thought, a new blog, but it seems to have overwritten my original blog and now it doesn’t show anything and the wp-admin url tells me that it’s not found!

    I’m panicking because my blog won’t work and I can’t log in!!!! Please help!!!

    I got an email about a new login and password after installing through wp-hive, but I still don’t have a working url to login to the admin page. It seems to have overwritten the wp-login.php page and even restoring that file from a previous backup didn’t work.

    Please help!

    I imagine wp-hive will break when WordPress 3.0 is released, so I would avoid using it at all costs.

    try renaming the wp-hive folder under /wp-content/plugins/ via FTP, see if that fixes it.

    WP Hive will still be compatible with WP 3.0.

    Just delete /wp-content/db.php via FTP to restore your blog.

    seems pretty silly to have WP hive still, since WP will natively be able to handle multiple blogs.

    jdingram, WP multiste and Hive are totally different and are used for different things.
    WP Multisite is designed to allow many users to register and create their own blogs, just like on wordpress.com

    Hive on the other hand is designed for one admin to manage many blogs and domains on one wordpress install.

    So it is not silly to use Hive since it has a different purpose than WP multisite.
