 * Auto update 3.9.1 REMOVED all my pluggins.
What can be done to recover 100s
of hours site building. Do they not test these updates before crashing sites.

 * A core update does not touch your plugins. I can only imagine that there was
a server issue at your end. Simply re-installing the plugins should get them
all working again as their settings will have been retained in your database.

 * I go through the steps of “add new pluggin” then search and hit the instal now
button for the one I want and it hangs at Downloading install package from [https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/nextgen-gallery.zip…](https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/nextgen-gallery.zip…)

I reload the page after 5 min and says I have NO pluggins installed.

 * Try checking your site’s error logs for messages to see if we can determine why
the download is hanging. Your hosts should be able to help you accessing your
   site’s error logs.

 * That doesn’t help. You need to check your server’s error logs. Or ask your hosts
   for assistance.
