I only want the children to link to pages, not the parent. Can this be done?

Sorry? Can you provide a little more detail? For example, what are you using to list the parent & child pages?

I am sorry, I tried to be concise.

I created an “About” page and the page tab appears in the menu bar at the top of the site. Then I created a few pages under “About” which can be accessed as a drop down menu from the “About” tab in the page menu bar. After I finished filling content on those pages (i.e. with different aspects of the “About” topic), I realized that I had already said all I wanted to say and the “About” page was empty. If you click “About” , you come to this empty page. I do not want that, but I still want to have the “About” label at the top of the drop down menu in the page menu bar. Does this make sense now?

    Many thanks in advance!

That’s not possible without creating your own WordPress menu using some of the more advanced functions. Alternatively, some of the dropdown menu plugins might offer this kind of functionality.

I got the answer in the Atahualpa theme forum. As it turned out, there is an option –which I overlooked!– to do this in the options. Many thanks.

I am getting the blank page too, my menu is not dropping down?

@ cfibanez can you post the link to the exact forum on Aquoid so that others my view the fix?

    thx

I asked for the link but I found it anyways. Here’s to all you geeks out there. http://forum.bytesforall.com/showthread.php?t=7654
