chmod this folder to 777
/widget-cache
do your operation
chmod back to 755
should work fine from now on
thanks sam –
I changed it to 777
I don’t know what my operation was supposed to be – just to get rid of the error.
It went back to 755 automatically
Status: Directory listing successful
Status: Set permissions of ‘/wp-content/widget-cache’ to ‘755’
Command: CWD /wp-content
Response: 250 OK. Current directory is /wp-content
Command: SITE CHMOD 755 widget-cache
Response: 200 Permissions changed on widget-cache
Some of this stuff is totally beyond me.
The whole blog has a database error.
I have spent two hours on it and getting nowhere.
Thanks anyway…
you have some sort of redirect going on. What’s that for?
I have no idea. I tried to transfer the blog from http://www.dougkercher.com/mdc to http://www.cleanmyclothes.com.au
I have followed the advice gien to me changing the phpmyadmin file and the wp-config files but it’s not going too well.
I’m a bit out of my depth…
Thanks sam (my son is called sam)
hi sam, thanks mate.
i have done step 1 – downloaded the files via ftp from the original site
cant do step – got admin and settings to change url as i cant get to it anymore.
its 2.30 am here so i have to go to bed.
