• Hi all,

I’m currently managing a site for a friend for whom I’ve written a custom CMS. When we started this out, there were no CMS’s that could cater to the specifics of the design of that particular site.
Given the wish for added features and the current state of WP, I’m investigating if it’s possible to recreate the site in WP.

The one issue I’m facing is this:

On the current site, she posts a blog each month (a musing). This musing shows up in a popup with a fixed width (for design purposes). The link to the musing is partly javascrript to open the popup and the content is shown via PHP from my custom made CMS. There is no place for comments etc, but it does generate an RSS feed. Just a single blog message each month.
On the main page, there are the titles of each musing from a year, linking to the popup. On the side, there are years to choose from.

Can I recreate this easily in WP?
I’m hesitant to post the link to the actual site, eh… I’m not that ultra confident in my PHP ability to code securely enough.. :S I don’t want anyone to start trying tinkering 😉
Another good reason to check out WP 🙂

    Thanks!

    Jeroen 🙂
