Two WordPress installs and sticky on front page with the other blog’s last post

    Can I do the following and how? can you offer some advice?

    I have a blog installed on its own forlder and a index.php on the root folder.
    I want to have two installations and two blogs, one my business another my sport activity.
    One, probably the existing one will be the front page of the website, what people find when the type my website URL.
    On it I’d like to have a sticky post on its openning page with the latest post on the other blog, to serve as an ancor towards my proffesional activities blog and of course, clicking on it will take you there.
    Any advice on how to achive this and capturing the other blog post?

    Maybe there is an easier way (although I think of two blogs because I need radically different themes for both)?

    OK,
    after a quick of feedwordpress, it seems it will enable me to keep the feeds of my actual blog and the new one separated. But I’m not sue if this is what you use to capture post from one blog and post as sticky on the other. Do ou think it can do that?

    is there an easy way to do that? Capture the last post in one blog and pun on a sticky on another.

    What about using something like RSS-Shortcode, put that shortcode in a post then make that post the sticky.

    Thank you Michael.
    I have to experiment a bit with all this. I’m not very proficient with code and wordpress or blogs for that matter and was fishing for oppinions about what I want to acomplish.
    RSS-Shortcode looks very good and simple. I wonder if it can display the whole post rather than the link to it. I’ll read a bit more in depth about it and print here just in case it helps someone else.

    Maybe my question here should have been brocken into two: how to publish the last post in a different blog on your current blog and is it the best way to do it having two blogs installed.

    Well there’s no doubt having one blog, and using categories to separate your two interest would make things easier. You could use categories or custom fields to help separate the two.
