• After migrating from 1&1 to Mediatemple yesterday (so much faster now!) I lost the ability to login at /wp-admin when using firefox.
I’ve tried clearing cache/cookies on multiple computers, but no go.

When I try logging in at /wp-admin it just spits back the same login screen again. If I login with the wrong password on /wp-admin it tells me ERROR: Incorrect password. But when I use the correct login info it just gives me the same login screen again.

I am able to login at /wp-login.php but when I do that and navigate to the blog it doesn’t recognize me as logged in and I therefore can’t edit posts and comments while browsing the site.

It works fine in IE, just not firefox.

    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting? If that works, then try reading Using_Permalinks before setting a custom permalink structure back up again.
