  • that is where you log in to the admin section of the blog to write posts and pages and create categories and change themes, etc.
you should have gotten a user name and password at end of install and in the email you input

Yeah, I know that much. The problem is, there is no login screen. It’s just giving me the website of my hosting/domain company.

I installed, using Fantastico, to a folder created during the installation called ‘wordpress’; during that, I got a username and password.

But the link it tells me to click, and manually going to http://www.divisiblebypi.com/wordpress/wp-login.php doesn’t give me any kind of login option.

I see the blog log in page
visit the url and tap ctrl + F5 on your keyboard at same time to clear your browser cache

I am having the same issue. my domain came from go daddy. but after installing wordpress from host gator my blog wont load. the url just keeps taking me to the gogaddy page. my blog admin page wont load.

you need to point the domain name servers at godaddy to hostgator

find the dns info at hostgator – similar to
    ns.hostgator1.com
    ns.hostgator2.com
you can find it in your cpanel
take this info to godaddy and put it in the name server fields

    Hi,

Thanks for all the help. For some reason clearing my cache didn’t work, and when I tried to log on from another computer in the house it gave me the same thing. Just past midnight it started working though – I’m not sure what the issue was in the end, but I’m assuming it had something to do with our ISP seeing as how it affected all the computers in the house.

    Cheers,

    Rich

Hi guys, I have a similar problem! I have installed wordpress using fantastico on my hostgator account but when I attempt to view the website it says “INDEX cgi-bin/”? What have I done wrong?

All sorted, It was an internal problem and Hostgator support has sorted it out : )
