newbie question (easy for intermediate developer)
-
Good Morning,
I’ve got 2 questions.
1) I developed a plugin for the administrator section. Basically
I added records to wp_usermeta table to determine what user has
access to what parts of the site. Works great. My question is this. When adding to the plugin, how do I determine if the individual is accessing the front-end or the back-end of the system? Would it be based on user type (admin or not admin)? I’m assuming you don’t create one plugin for the front-end and one for the backend (admin).
2) I created an admin menu page. It automatically creates a duplicate subpage. So if you call the admin section Newletter, it creates the grey box Newsletter and a submenu page Newletter. Anyway
to eliminate the submenu option. I’ve got my own submenu I’ve added and don’t need the duplicate Newletter.Jim
