• I want to delete the “Genereal”-category (first I have build other categories).
I changed in “default post options” the “default_post_category”. But the system don’t let me delete “General” (says still “it’s the default category”). What can I do?
    Thank you again!

  • How about renaming it to a category you’d rather use?

Okay… I followed this advice… I deleted the category that I wanted to be my default, so that everything moved to “General”, and then renamed “General”.

Now a problem has arisen, and I’m wondering if anyone has some advice. Whenever I use MarsEdit to post to my blog, it places the post under whatever category I select, plus the (renamed) default category. It never did this before. Anybody have any ideas?

Sorry for this… I found a solution in the following thread: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/9698.
