how can I get the name of the title of my most recent post from my WP blog and display it as a headline on my regular html website (with a different domain name ) dynamically?

i.e., to have my html website which is created in dreamweaver on Mac OS 10.3 to have a section in the main template that all the other pages feed off of, where it automatically get’s the name of the title of my most recent post and displays it on the website which is a different domain than my blog.

sort of a “My latest blog post topic is_____”

and have it done automatically rather than manually.

    thanks

    Pete

  • Well, you can use your RSS feed to display. Try the service of bigbold.com/rssdigest to display your RSS feed.

That’s OK if you just want it posting up in one of their pre-defined formats, but what about displaying the whole of your most recent post on the front page of your website, similar to alexking.org?

    Does anyone have any ideas?

That website (alexking.org) is using WP as a CMS for the whole site – so it’s not the same as it was asked above.

Thanks for the idea Jalansutera, I went for a different service http://www.rss-to-javascript.com/

    seems to work ok.

I think you can do it Chio

here’s what they say you can use

All JavaScript based feeds powered by RSS-to-JavaScript.com include the following CSS class calls:

    Class Description/Use
P.channel Feed “Channel” Title and Link, Often considered the feed “Header”
    P.channelDescription Feed “Channel” Description
P.channelPublisher Feed “Channel” Publisher and Author
    A.chanLink Channel Link
P.news and P.newsAlt Items or Stories (class calls alternate)
A.newsLink and A.newsLinkAlt Items or Stories Link (class calls alternate)
