    I have read several posts saying that emailing is not sending with 3.6
    and I found a updated source for class-phpmailer.php.

    But 3.6.1 is not working with replacing class-phpmailer.php

    How can I make wp 3.6.1 email work?

    I replaced class-phpmailer.php file as it mentioned. it worked fine but not with 3.6.1

    Is this only me (or a few ppl) having this problem?
    Wpyogi, what about you, is yours working fine?

    Thanks,

    I really want to know,

    Is there anyone has sending emailing problem with 3.6.1?

    For testing, go to login page and click "lost my password" and put your email which is registered. and send "reset password" email.

    For me it's not working. I have downgrade to 3.6 and works great now.
    but I really want to know how to fix 3.6.1 emailing problem.

    Thanks,

    I haven't seen any other threads about email and 3.6.1 specifically. Not to say that there aren't any, but it's not widespread or we'd be seeing a whole lot of posts on it.

    Have you tried that smtp plugin?

    I'm having the same issue with 3.6.1 and Ninja forms. It's possible that the issue is related to my client using Google Apps and I'll need to use SMTP regardless.

    I am also using 3.6.1 and Gravity forms, and emails have stopped going after the upgrade...

    Is there any resolution in sight?

    Same here. The plugin that I've produced hasn't been able to send any emails since upgrading to 3.6.1

    I've been using Easy WP SMTP for my client and that seems to be a good temporary workaround.

    I also have problems with e-mail after update to 3.6.1. Here is my topic with details: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/mail-not-working-after-upgrade-to-361

  14. Oddly, every single person I've helped with not receiving email after upgrading to WordPress 3.6.1 has found that their email is going into their spam folder. You might double check if your email from your WordPress install is ending up in your spam folder.

    I generally use the Check Email when testing if email is working or not. It will also tell you what MTA your server is using, and yes, the 3.6/class-phpmailer.php issue has to do with Qmail and a bug in the version of class-phpmailer.php being used with WordPress 3.6/3.6.1.

    When I use WP-SMTP and Easy-WP-SMTP Plugin, "To" email id can able to receive email notification but "reply to" id does not receive email notification.

    Any Idea?

    It's working for mine at version 3.6 and 3.6.1 also...! Check the following code

    $mail = new PHPMailer();
    $mail->IsSendmail(); // telling the class to use SendMail transport

    $body = $messagehtml;
    $body = eregi_replace("[\]",'',$body);

    $mail->SetFrom($from, $current_user->user_firstname ." ".$current_user->user_lastname);
    $mail->AddReplyTo($from, $current_user->user_firstname ." ".$current_user->user_lastname);

    $address = $to;
    $mail->AddAddress($address, "");

    $mail->Subject = $subject;
    $mail->MsgHTML($body);

    return $mail->Send();
