How do I use the “more” tag feature?

    Hi, I was trying to use the “read more” feature. If I add the More tag, it does not break up the content. Isn’t that what its supposed to do, make a “read more” link containing whatever text i put after it? I just clicked on the button to add it, is there anything I need to do elsewhere in the system, like add some code to my template?

    Any suggestions or suggested add ons that would do this would be great.
