[Resolved] 3.6-beta3-24284 – Issue with wp_nav_menu

    @cscottrun

    in 3.5 I do the following:

    wp_nav_menu(array('theme_location' => 'footer_links', 'menu_class' => 'nav nav-pills', 'container' => 'div', 'container_class' => 'footerCenterNav'));

    This created a footer, see here which you can see the footer links are lined up properly.

    Now lets switch over to this site which is running 3.6-beta3-24284 and using the same peice of code for the footer and we see that the footer links are broken.

    No: There are no plugins installed – so theirs nothing for me to disable. No: I cannot switch back to the default theme as I am developing this theme from the ground up.

    Can some one tell me why the same piece of code works in 3.5.1 but breaks in 3.6 beta 3?

    Looks like on the first site you have actual menu items, while on the second one you didn’t assign a menu to that location, so wp_nav_menu() falls back to wp_page_menu(), which has a different markup.

    That’s not a new issue, see #18842 and #16679.
