So I am using MAMP locally to design a couple of sites. One of them works just fine. I then installed a new database to try and work on the new site. It worked fine for a few minutes and then I would edit a post, click the update button, and it would give me the white screen of death. I tried deleting the database and the site and starting with a fresh install of both and the same thing continued to happen. I checked out the MAMP error log but I don’t know too much about what it tells me, which is the following…

[31-Jan-2010 16:49:42] PHP Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/diamondigloo/wp-content/themes/diamondigloo/functions.php:27) in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/diamondigloo/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 868

Any suggestions? I would really like to get back to work and this is plaguing me.

Fixed it! Reading the error closer, I went into my theme’s functions.php and there was white space in line 27. I deleted it and now everything works fine. Weird.

I’m new to details like this. Hopefully this is helpful to someone else.

I get a blank page too when I add a new post or publish an edit.
Where do you check the error log in MAMP?
