SQL Injection statement?

Hello,
I don’t know if this is something people at WordPress need to be aware of–I have already contacted my ISP and the site where the SQL infections statement originated (at least that is what that site’s owner called it)–but I figured I would post this in case it is of interest/important. From my stats, I clicked on this link: http://rune-tips.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=975&view=unread, which took me to a page where someone had posted this link to my site: http://richardjnewman.com/events/?event_id=-1+union+select+1,concat%28user_login,0x0D0A,user_pass,0x0D0A47656F78582068657265203A2920437261636B2074686973205E%29,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28+from+wp_users. When I clicked on that link–on the rune-tips site–it took me to a page normally generated by the Events Manager plug-in, but that page was all screwed up. Like I said, I have already contacted the Rune-Tips website and my ISP, but I thought it would be worth posting here as well.
Comments, questions, suggestions? I am not a programmer, don’t know what an SQL injection statement is or does–except that I am guessing it has something to do with databases.
