Moving Drupal 6 blog to WP | WordPress.org

Hi,

I am moving a small (~20 post) blog from Drupal to WordPress (love Drupal but just want to blog without fiddling a lot ;-)). All I want to move are posts & comments and I’m not sure how to go about it. At worst I can do the posts manually, but how to import comments? I suppose if I’m not interested in editing the SQL db that I should probably let it be.

Have you checked out results from Google? At least one of the results looks promising – Converting Drupal6 to WordPress. To follow instructions, you can download WP2.7 version from – http://wordpress.org/download/release-archive/ . Then when you’ve successfully migrated your posts and comments, you can upgrade to latest WordPress verion 2.9.1

As always backup database and server files and folders before any migration 🙂

@songdogtech: I’m not that bright – the Import area in the codex is MUCH more detailed than it had been in the past. I found it after googling 🙂

@mercime: I *just* found that page, and it looks very promising. I will give that one a go first and if that fails, I’ll just copy/paste posts.
