  • I just installed v1.62 of Mystique and really like it, but am having a few problems with certain things, to which I turn to this group for your help.

First off, here is the blog I’m working on:

    http://www.patricklagreid.com

Problem #1: I can’t get my Twitter posts to load via the included widget, nor can I get the Twitter icon to load on the header bar.

Problem #2: On the resume page I’m creating, I’d like to get rid of the title appearing in the document. In this case, I’d like to get rid of “Resume” appearing above my info.

Problem #3: I’m having problem getting this feed – http://www.baseballbookreview.com/?feed=rss2 – to load into the RSS feeder. I have also tried http://feeds2.feedburner.com/Baseballbookreviewcom to no avail. As you’ll see, I have other Feedburner based RSS feeds working just fine, but not this one for some reason.

Problem #4: In loading a Gravatar, the options of aligning it left/center/right don’t seem to make a difference. Is this accurate or am I doing something incorrectly?

Thank you very much for your help — I’m incredibly grateful for whatever assistance you can provide.

  • #1: you must be running on PHP 4.x. Use the latest version from the official site (1.68), this fixes all compatibility problems with older PHP versions. read this as well

#2: add a new custom field named “hide_title”.

#3: I see your RSS just fine. Mystique doesn’t interfere with WP’s RSS feeds…

#4: this is a problem with the plugin/widget you’re using to display the avatar. it doesn’t add the correct align class to the image. If you know basic html, I suggest you add your gravatar inside a text widget…

Thank you so much for the info — I got #1, #3 and #4, but am still struggling with the title appearing on the page I’m creating.

Is there a way to customize on a page-by-page basis possibly? For instance, I wouldn’t mind having “Contact Patrick” appear on the contact page, but still would like to get rid of, or at least alter, the title on the resume page.

Thank you again so much – really digging the theme so far!

custom field (in the editor), not custom css.
