• I have found the tools/export function for getting an nice xml document of all the blog posts.

    Is there is similar feature to get an export of all the links I have created. The show up as a “blogroll” on the first page. I can add to them using the edit links tools.

    Can I or how do I upload or download a file of links?

  • Not in my 2.8.6 and I don’t know about 2.9.1
    I once exported them as xml (not sql) through my plesk admin where I can choose the output type of the file.
    Meaning I selected that one table and did the settings for exporting that table.
    But then you need database access.

    @alpinekid,

    Just what the doctor ordered:

    Import Blogroll With Categories plugin.

    You will also find “wp-links-opml.php” handy (sits in the root of wordpress.

    The following comes out of the php file itself:

    * Outputs the OPML XML format for getting the links defined in the link
    * administration. This can be used to export links from one blog over to
    * another. Links aren’t exported by the WordPress export, so this file handles
    * that.
    *
    * This file is not added by default to WordPress theme pages when outputting
    * feed links. It will have to be added manually for browsers and users to pick
    * up that this file exists.

    R
