Bulk author change not working

    I have noticed that if I select a bunch of posts – and then select bulk edit – and then change the author field for all those posts – they don’t actually change.

    It says that it has “updated (number of) posts” but it doesn’t actually change the author on them.

    Any help? It is happening to both of my WordPress installs running version 2.9.
