    I downloaded the Plugin ZIP from the WordPress Plugins Repository using the link you provided,gotwrk and scanned the package as well as manually checked the plugin code..

    I didn’t find anything malicious in the ZIP or the plugin code or even the readme file!! I think you can go ahead, download the plugin and use it. It’s safe.
