The text you see on the right column of the slideshow is the_excerpt of the post or, as the post content is short, it could even be the_content
mercime:
So whatever the person types on their page is put on the right column of the slideshow? Am I understanding that right? If so, how is that done?
faf: What do you mean by pro theme?
Thanks for responding. 🙂
@voodazzard
The content is just posts. What you could do is create a category called Blog or whatever your client is needing in the slideshow. And then on your home page (which I strongly suggest should be index.php if your using WordPress as a CMS) add this code:
<?php $blog_query = new WP_Query('category_name=blog&posts_per_page=3');
while ($blog_query->have_posts()) : $blog_query->the_post();?>
<li <?php post_class() ?> id="post-<?php the_ID(); ?>">
<h2><span><?php the_time('d/m/Y'); ?></span> <strong class="<?php //EIP_title(); ?>"><a href="<?php the_permalink() ?>" rel="bookmark" title="Permanent Link to <?php the_title_attribute(); ?>"><?php the_title(); ?></strong></a></h2>
<?php the_excerpt() ?>
</li><!--post-->
<?php endwhile; ?>
Now what this does is create a nice clean loop that will spit out 3 posts from your category Blog. It should be fairly simple to edit to your needs. I’ve wrapped it inside a list item, so you should be able to use this inside a nice jQuery slideshow.

Thanks a lot for the responses!
My next question is how they managed to resize the images in the slideshow? Is it some kind of plug-in?
Also, again, what is a pro theme?
Thanks again, I really appreciate it.
Hey
A theme you have to pay for. I checked it myself
The layout was pretty easy to copy but the way of showing pages and posts and photos…
@voodazzed
If it’s a slideshow then you don’t need to resize them you should be able to have a set size for the image. Alternatively you could try out http://code.google.com/p/timthumb/ which all you know is add to your theme folder and then link your images with it very simple.
@voodazzed: the theme used is the f8 child theme of Modularity 2.2 WordPress theme.
Slideshow can be done via one of the many WordPress slideshow plugins – and example would be – http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-glideshow/screenshots/
