# 3.4 install not working

 * After downloading 3.4, when I go to ‘add new post’ in my dashboard, I have lost
   my template and the text color is now white. Meaning, I can not view what the
   words being written unless I highlight the text… How do I fix this?

 * Do you the most recent backup? If you have it, try a fresh download and a fresh
   installation and upload the backup via FTP.

 * do you have the actual theme. try to reinstall if you have not manually edited
   the theme. if u have edited, try to rmemeber what you edited.

 * Have you tried:
 * – deactivating **all** plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works,
   re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
 * – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
 * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause
   problems.
 * – re-uploading all files & folders – **except** the wp-content folder – from 
   a **fresh** download of WordPress.
