Hello,

I want to create a backup of my blog. is it enough to just choose Export.

And will an export only copy my blog xml files, or will it take them of my blog?

Exporting to your blog is a good start but, you should also backup your files and database. Depending on your web host, it can be straight forward or more complicated.

But an export of my blog wont delete my current posts will it?

An export just makes an XML copy of your posts/pages and comments. The originals will not be touched or deleted.
