How much would it be worth it to you to have such a plugin??
Just kidding, sorta of.
I’ve seen some skeleton code posted here, by Kafesqui (boy did I butcher that spelling) that would basically allow you to define your own quicktag. There’s also some explanation in the codex on how to create your buttons for the quicktags in your admin panel. So it is doable.
It’d be worth 3 pieces of cheese toast and a sheet of bubble wrap. I’ll check around the codex and see what I can scrounge up.

The link kafkaesqui posted for a “create” your own quicktag.
I actually already have the underpinnings for this in CG-Inline, just wasn’t sure what people would need. My actual advertising ‘inbetweens’ code on my site is in the process of migrating to a separate plugin — that will automatically let you add it to the start, end, or say after the opening excerpt, of every article… and will be done without manual intervention like CG-Inline. But both will be useful.
Are you doing Adsense (which I’d likely do via inclusion of an .htm file with the adsense code, or have it in a variable), or do you have a grander schema (like phpAds, which I also use)?

I’m using the AdSense plugin by Phil Hord – http://philhord.com/wp-hacks/adsense
Works great for me and I guess you could modify it to be used with other ad providers as well?
I have a separate ad script and have a small snippet of code that I would just need to drop in.
