cant see text widget

    Guys, I know you have talked about this before, can anyone point me to a discussion about troubleshooting my wordpress to get the text widget back. I just can’t see it, and can’t figure out why.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    hey esmi,

    thanks for the trying to help me my friend, I tried all your suggestions one by one, except with the last one because I didn’t have any plugins that didn’t wanted to be deactivated. Also, all the plugins I have on my plugins folder are active and none of them remain inactivated or inactive but existing on my plugins folder. I’m still wondering why this happen and since when, it must have been a point upgrade because by 2.8 they where working.

    The point is to reset the plugins when all plugins have, apparently, been deactivated as one may still be cause problems.

    Ok, I went via phpMyAdmin and looked the table up after deactivating all my plugins, and the set value was a:0:{}. I rewrote the same values hit go and before leaving repair/optimized my sql and no luck. I still don’t have the text widget.

    I’ve been trying to get a fix for these, does anyone knows if I can reset the themes the way you can reset the plugins, maybe that’ll do it.
