• I am moving an ecommerce site from a test server to the live server and have entered about 200 products manually.

Now that I’ve finished designing the WordPress theme, I’d like to export all my products from the test database, create a fresh WordPress installation on the live site server and import those products.

So where do I export products as a CSV?

  • I recently moved my site from a local test server to a live server and all the products have disappeared.

I still have the local version and it still has all the products so I thought I would export them and then import them to the live version.

I can see an import function but how do I first export them?

Where are they kept? Can I just manually copy and paste the products somehow?

I too have had entered many products and it will be frustrating to have to do all that again. I am not sure why they got lost on the transfer to the live server.

If anyone knows how to export them please let us know.

you can move your sql database.. find part where the products are.. export it to your hard disk and than import to sql of new site.. entering sql is possible in setup of hosting

moving sites is not just ftp is also sql

i am just looking for csv export at the moment (thats why i found your question) because it is good for moving to other kind of e-shops and products aggregators.. moving in same wordpress plugin is better with sql

Thanks Haro – Can you be a little more specific on how to move the sql. I’m a newbe. There are several sites hosted on my server. Is there a way to determine which database is being used by the wp-commerce? Where would I find that?
