Getting error when trying the installation

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/mstates/public_html/wordpress/wp-config.php on line 76

    The above is the error I get when going through the initial installation after I’ve edited the original wp-config.php as told to do so through the instructions and uploaded all files.

    Mind you, this is my first time ever dealing with such items (WordPress and PHP or anything like it).

    Also tried including the ?> at the end but that merely brings up the same error to the next consecutive line #
