Donate plus – help needed

I’m trying to add a donate widget to my site, http://www.bigrigdriversblog.com and have everything downloaded and setup on the settings page but for some reason the donate button won’t show. I’m trying to place in in my sidebar.
These are the directions they give.

1. Upload the donate_plus directory to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
3. Set the options in the Settings Panel
4. Put the shortcode [donateplus] on your donation page to display the donate form.
5. Put the shortcode [donatewall] on your donation page or a seperate page to display the Donation Recognition Wall.
6. Use the shortcode [donortotal] to display your running total of donations to date.
7. Add the Instant Payment Notification URL to your PayPal Profile IPN settings.

I don’t know what they mean in step 4 by putting the shortcode [donateplus] on my donation page. I have no specific donation page, I’m trying to put this into a side bar. What am I missing?
