permalink structure not showing post ID

    Greetings all.

    I’m using /%postname%/%post_id%/ for my permalink structure. This is giving me URL’s like http://www.mysite.com/about-me. This is working well for me but I’m wondering why the URL doesn’t contain the post ID.

    Can anyone tell me why the post ID is missing from the end of the URL, even though it’s specified in the permalink structure?
