• I’m well versed in the various means of using images for categories in the loop, but I would like to do the same thing in my category listings in the sidebar. Basically, I’d like to have a small graphic badge next to each category name. I’ve looked through codex and search, but nada.

  • why not use the existing tag and call a smaller image for that cat and place it in the sidebar?

    I want a different image for each category…

    well, if you create an image based on the nice-name convention, then whatever your image is named based on the cat is the image that willd display.

    you can also try http://coffee2code.com for the cat image plugin which has more variables.

    I already use c2c category images for the rest of my site. This issue is strictly for the sidebar listing, and it seems it’s not doable.

    Bueller?
    Is there a way this might be hacked?

    I´m using the c2c category images too in my site and I cant this option in the sidebar listing…

    The code I need to put is:
    <?php c2c_the_category_image(‘, ‘)?>

    I think that I need to edit wp-includes/template-functions-category.php file, maybe the line 324…
    But I dont know how because my php is very poor…
    Can someone help me?
    Arlo? Did you find anything during this time?

    P.S. Sorry my poor english
