can php shortcode detect post width in pixels?

    Hi,

    I am wanting to develop a shortcode that determines post width and can then optimally work a dynamic image resize.

    I need to know pixels because of a third-party dependency.

    Since I want to support both a PC and wptouch mobile access I can’t hard-code a solution.
