upload/image buttons not working in 2.8.4

    Today, my upload/insert buttons stopped working in the WYSIWYG editor. I have not recently updated (am on 2.8.4 which is the most recent version) or added/changed plugins. When I click on the buttons to upload an image or video etc, nothing happens. The lightbox does not pop up at all.

    Any thoughts on what the hell is going on here? I can’t write new content without being able to insert images.

    Hi,

    Check with these options:

    -> disable all the plugins
    -> remove all the unwanted code from htaccess
    -> assign 766 recursive permissions to wp-content folder.

    I disabled all plugins then reactivated those that were previously active and the image uploader is working now. Thanks!
