using WordPress for a community website

Does someone have any experience building a community website with wordpress? I would like to build a new website for our Dutch students club but I’m not sure WordPress is the right CMS for it.

I have some specific requirements for the website:

• Advanced user information. When a new user registers himself, he has to fill in a form. I would like that form to be customised.
• Only users who are logged in may view specific pages and posts, photogalleries etc.
• There has to be a document management system where users can upload files and order them folder based or tag based.
• I need a calendar where you can add events to dates.

Does anyone know if this is possible?
