Right now, you can sort of preview your post by saving it and viewing it in the admin area…but what about making a plugin so you can preview the article exactly how it would look on the actual site with all the formating that your site has?

Sounds good, man, code it on up! 😉

I would think it wouldn’t be overly hard to include the template’s CSS and have the preview wrap it in the appropriate divs. The problem with making it a plugin is that with all the myriad themes available with differing layouts it’s almost impossible to have a “one-plugin-fits-all” solution.

I think that this new plugin is what you are looking for: http://fredfred.net/skriker/index.php/jaeaa-preview

I’ve been thinking about making this a built-in request for ages and ages. I just found it strange that you couldn’t preview what you were going to post unless you hit continue&edit saving or draft and then view it that way. Even then it’s unstyled.

    Nice work Fred 🙂

Thanks so much for the plugin. It’s super! Thanks Fredcz!

    hi,
i am not quite sure, but this feature is already installed. save a new posting as PRIVATE. (advanced editing options).
if you are logged in, you will see this article on the page. if not, or not as the user who wrote the post, you wont see it.

    bye, chris
