It depends on the theme where exactly you are displaying comments. Generally comments are not visible from main page but if you click on the post, you will get all the comments for that posts. Can you post your blog link?
I have I a modified iMovies theme and am having the same problem.
People from my facebook do not know where the comments are and neither do I.
I went to give myself a dummy comment to approve and then trash and there is nothing under my post except the Like Button

I receive emails regularly which asks me to approve, delete or spam the received comments
I go to my admin page and approve them by moving mouse over comment and options appear at its bottom, I select “Approve” there but when I come back to that Post, there is no any comments
I waited for hours, days and weeks but it still not appears there.
