How do I add count to tags in tag cloud widget

(Posted this on Themes & templates a month ago, but didn’t get any respons – so I’ll try here instead)

Hi

I’ve looked everywhere for an easy solution, but can’t find anything that make my tags display a number after the tag name, just like my categories does:

Category name (3)

I tried to follow these instructions:

But can’t get it to work.
