    Hi,

I was wondering if there is an easiest way to do this, in fact if there is not, i suggest you do so; in websites of thousands of pages it would be imposible to do it in a different way.

    My problem is as follows:

I have a website in 3 different languges, and some of the products i sell, their name is the same in English and in Spanish and French. So in order to make a difference on the meta title in each language, so Google dont report a duplication, I decided to do the following MANUALLY in each product:

NAME OF THE PRODUCT + |EN| + SHOP NAME

That way each language will be different. But now im comming accross the same problem, but with the images, and in this case is crazy, as some of the products has a lot of pictures, etc.

Is there a viriable just like %post_title% or any other to say %lang% ?

So doing it that way it will add the hrflag code in the meta titles, making it different for every language and every post type or media.

    Thanks
    Kind regards

When you refer to images, are you referring to Media Attachment pages or something else?

    Hi Steve,

    Thanks for your quick support.

I have been thinking about your answer, and I think you bring some light into this… is it possible to make that media pages redirect to product pages on 301 redirection? that way the media page will not exist, so will not be a duplication of titles.

The reason why I included the media pages on my sitemap is because for some reason, google does not increase the images crawled by its robot since 3 months back, and my intention is to force it to do so.

You will be able to see what i mean in here: http://www.oxynergy.com/es/pi-cleansing-cream-2/

    Thanks

There is a setting in All in One SEO Pack under Advanced Settings for Redirect Attachments to Post Parent that will redirect attachments to their parent page/post.

I know, but it does not work. It seems that this functionality you created, works only for actual posts of a blog but not with woocommerce.

I ended up installing a new plugin named redirect attachments or something like this, and this one seeems to work just fine. It would be good if your plugin worked as well with products of woocommerce (as a hint, i also use wpml).

    Thanks
    Kind regards

Ok, thanks for letting us know. We’ll fix this in a future release.
