• Hi, I just discovered that I can´t delete all dates from an event, EO doesn’t seem to accept this. No error messages but it just keeps the previous added date even after hitting Update.

We have a number of reoccuring events (courses) and sometimes there are no planned dates for course, but we still want the course description to be online. This is where we tried to delete dates.

I managed to find a workaround by changing the date to a passed date, and pas event is set to hidden. This gives teh result I’m lokking for but is hard to explain to my customer 😉

    Is there another solution?

How are you deleting the dates?

An event must have at least one date associated with it. The fact that you didn’t get an error message seems like a bug.

One way you can delete all events is via the admin calendar. But if you delete the last date, it will delete the event.

I edit the event, go to event details, check the box, deletes
    Start Date/Time:
    and
    End Date/Time:

I also check no extra dates are marked in the calendar underneath.
    The I update the page.

Ok, when I do that I get an error message:

    Event dates were not saved.
    Start date not provided.

The event is otherwise saved, but it retains its previous details. I’m not sure why you’re not seeing the above message though.

It’s a requirement of the plug-in that events have a start and end date/time, so I think the only workaround is the one that you mention.
