301 redirect from sub folder to root

    I have found quite a few topics about redirecting from root to a sub folder but the search shows little on doing it the other way around.

    I am currently moving several installations of wordpress in sub folders into 1 installation in the root. I have moved the first one over using import.

    Obviously the urls have now changed from one with the subfolder in it, to one without the subfolder eg:

    mydomain.co.uk/north-east-fishing-news/a-bass-wins-redcar-open/

    is now

    mydomain.co.uk/a-bass-wins-redcar-open/

    The problem I have now is I need to redirect the pages using a 301. As there are 1000 pages I cant do this on an individual basis.
