I have a WordPress site that has 700+ backlinks to it, and we just decided to move it over to another domain on the same hosting plan. I have tried using two different 301 redirect methods, but neither are doing what I need them to do, so I need a little help on this please. Both methods, listed below, only redirect the home page, but none of the internal blog posts, which are essential! I tried:
RedirectMatch 301 ^/blog/$ http://livelimitless.net/
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://livelimitless.net/$1 [R=301,L]
Here is the old site: http://www.aworldofinspiration.com/blog
And the new site: http://www.livelimitless.net
If you view this site; http://www.wanderingearl.com/the-most-important-word-in-the-world/
It has two backlinks to our site:
“A World Of Inspiration” at the end of the first paragraph to our main site, and then one to an internal blog post at the beginning, “Most Important Word in the World”. This one still goes to the old site. I need a way to fix this so that all internal pages and posts go to the new site. How do I do this properly? I thought the last method I tried would work, but it doesn’t for me. What do I do?
