Continue Reading and Read More buttons both appearing

Yesterday when I opened my site – eg https://fyfeopedia.wordpress.com/reviews/the-beach-boys/ – I noticed that both ‘Continue Reading’ and ‘Read More’ buttons were both appearing on the descriptions for the nested pages, where before I only had ‘Read More’ buttons. Is there any way to remove the duplicate buttons as they look awkward?

I don’t think it’s anything I triggered as it happened overnight, and I don’t think I changed any settings. I’m on a Free Plan and I’m using the Goran Theme.

The blog I need help with is fyfeopedia.wordpress.com.

Oh my, that does look like a bug and I’m going to do some testing and report it to our developers ASAP, thanks so much for letting us know.

As a workaround, you can try adding a custom excerpt for each of your child pages in the WP Admin editor:

If you don’t see the Excerpt box, open the Screen Options panel at the top right and check off the “Excerpt” box.

This should now be fixed! If you still spot any problems with the exceprts on the grid page, please let me know.
