Could you post some more information about your site: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/before-posting-gather-the-following-details ?
Is the actual shop page set to be the home page (the shop page is set at WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Display)? Does this issue happen when using a default WordPress theme?
Yes, sorry — Here’s more info:
Here’s the dev site — the home page is set up to show sections. The Shop section, which shows 21 of the 34 products properly shows up under the services section and above the team section.
However, on the live site, it’s also showing up under the team section. The full shop shows up fine (on both sites) under Shop. I’ve taken down the live site mainenance page temporarily for the next 5 minutes, incase you’re able to look at it. it’s http://www.openhousemodernbeachdesign.com/
I’ve tried using default themes, but I can’t duplicate the issue, since none of them provide customization to show the shop section on the home page.
I’m using the Azera Shop Theme. Thanks.
Didn’t make the 5 minute window so couldn’t view the source. It sounds like maybe you have the shop page set to be the home page at WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Display. So it’s automatically showing all products there.
Otherwise, try disabling all other plugins except for WooCommerce again and switching to a default WordPress theme. Then view the shop/home page editor content in the admin and double check everything there. Then re-save the pages and test again.
Thanks for the suggestions, but nothing is working. My dev site is hosted by hostgator and the client’s live site is hosted by godaddy. Would that make a difference? I’m thinking about contacting their support team to see if they can help. stay tuned.
Has to be something configured or installed differently, e.g jetpack. Or it could be that the theme files or content have been modified.
I fixed it. I resorted to diffchecking all the dev site files against the live site files and it looks like some Woo Commerce code got added to the shortcode section. I simply replaced it with the code that was on the dev site — and didn’t pull in a request for the duplicate shop to show.
I’m not really sure how this happened or when, just happy that I figured it out! 🙂
