    Hello,
I’ve been using this very good plugin for a long time, it works fine but with WP 4.6 update I cannot use it anymore. (I use embedded text from an external url and now the text doesn’t appear). This plugin is compatible up to: 4.5.3. When can we expect a new compatible version?
    Thanks a lot!

I’m waiting to push out the next update before confirming the compatibility with 4.6. However, I can confirm that it does work with 4.6 (there’s nothing inherently changed in this release that would stop it anyway).

So if you’re having problems please let me know the details and we can try and resolve them 🙂

Thanks for the quick response! I tried it on another WP installation but got the same result: plugin working on previous WP version, but after 4.6 upgrade the embedded html just doesn’t show up. The line with the url link also doesn’t show up (as being processed).

However I have another issue with WP 4.6 I have yet to resolve: “Download failed. cURL error 23…” while trying to update plugins or themes… Seems like this possibly causes also code-embed not working.. ?

You may have the issue detailed here… https://wordpress.org/support/topic/read-this-first-wordpress-46-master-list?replies=5#post-8762136

Ah, so you’re embedding an external script rather than one added to the posts’ custom fields? In which case, the cURL fetching issue (above) may be affecting this.

Yes, I’m not using posts’ custom fields but just loading external script to a post. Anyway, thank you for the help! The problem is resolved now. Actually the source of the problem was an older version of PHP on my host. Somehow I overlooked it. After enabling 5.6 of PHP everything works fine.

That’s my pleasure – glad you’ve got it working again!
