• Hello,
My site has recently been deactivated because I was hacked.
I need to have my site cleaned up as soon as possible. Any suggestions on how to proceed from here?

Use a reputable company to do it for you. Doing it yourself is a long and difficult task even for a developer.

My thoughts exactly Andrew. I’ve been in contact with one such company but have found their terms a bit too steep.

    Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I can give you one but I’ll have to close the thread afterwards to prevent others from recommending theirs

Thanks but why shut down the thread? Is it for security reasons?
I want to get as many suggestions as possible.

That’s good for me isn’t it. As forum moderator, I’m sure you know what’s best. please point me in the right direction. This is an emergency, I’m trying to avoid getting blacklisted by Google.

These forums are for support with WordPress and so I’m really sorry but I’m going to have to close this thread. There may be other forums for you (other than on WordPress.org).
