Category Management

With multiple authors using windows live writer to post to my wordpress blog, we have run into a problem. A couple of my guys have been creating new categories like madmen. This has me with WAY TOO MANY categories.

A couple years ago, I found a plugin called category overload that did a stellar job helping me to reorganize categories, move posts from 1 cat to another, etc… This plug hasn’t been updated since 2007 and doesn’t work any longer. I have spent some time looking for a replacement, but haven’t had luck.

What I am looking for is an easy way to move posts from some smaller categories to a main category more general in bulk. Has the ability to easily manipulate the structure of the categories.
