    Hi Guys,

I’ve got a problem and wondered if anyone could offer any guidance. I have an online business that does most of it’s advertising via Facebook. Today I was made aware of a Facebook page that was directing people to a name.wordpress.com/ website. This person on the website claims that they have a chargeback against the business and that they were trying to “warn people about us”… the thing is we have zero open disputes of any kind and so this person is lying.

This person has scoured all social media channels and found about 4 customers (out of 1000s) who are unhappy with their orders (we sell custom items) and done a really good job of making us look like big crooks.

I am convinced that this is our only close competitor via social media. He has so far contacted me and denied his identity to find out information about us and the way we operate, actively gone after and stolen very valuable staff who work for us, as well as monitoring our movements.

(I sent a sample of some work they had done to a procurement agent I hired, so he could look for similar work, and he accidentally posted that work in a Facebook post intended to find freelancers who could do similar work. I was contacted within an hour, with threats to remove the work, even though this procurement agent had only created the Facebook account that day)

I want to prove the identity of this person to show they are not our customer.

The website in question also uses our images and logo on it.

Any ideas about what I should do?

    Thanks Guys.

I’ve moved your topic to Miscellaneous, that’s were it belongs.

Today I was made aware of a Facebook page that was directing people to a name.wordpress.com website.

There is nothing anyone here can do but if you have a complaint about a WordPress.COM blog then please consider contacting their abuse URL.

This forum here is for self-hosted WordPress.ORG software installations.

    This link explains the differences.

    It’s a common misunderstanding.
