Outbound link tracking breaks image maps with multiple links

    I tried setting up an image map, and only the first region works. If I disable outbound link tracking in GA by MonsterInsights, all of the regions work. Re-enable outbound link tracking, and only the first region works.

    GA by MonsterInsights is stripping out all of the subsequent regions from the map when it inserts the outbound link tracking code.

    I assume this is a bug? Until it gets patched, is there a way to get the plugin to exclude an image map from its code insertion, while still allowing outbound link tracking on the rest of my site?

    That’s bizarre. There’s not a good way that I can think of to get around an issue like that, but I can say with the upcoming 6.0 release next month, we’ve got a completely new way of tracking those links so this won’t be an issue in that release for sure.
