You don’t happen to use relative URLs for your images do you?

i don’t believe so. all of my images have just been uploaded through the media upload window.i wouldn’t even know how to change the URL’s from relative to absolute. for example, here’s the link to one of my images:

    http://www.forbesindustries.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/new-dance-floors-tile-1.jpg

when i am using the default permalinks, you can put that URL into your browser and image shows up. but when i change the permalink structure to “Post Name” and then put that same URL into the browser, i get a 500 internal server error.

I am using the sample post permalink format and my images are not showing up. Since I have Woocommerce, it’s necessary that I use this structure in order to create a storefront necessary to categorize the services I am offering. However, changing back to default didn’t work as well. You might want to say away from the default structure because it’s not SEO friendly. I am not sure what to do next.
