Comment form used outside of posts not working properly

My theme uses the WP global $withcomments so comment forms show up for every post in archive pages. So 6 posts per page means 6 comment forms.

I have ‘Comment form used outside of posts’ checked, but AntiSpam Bee only adds the hidden textarea to the first post in the archive page. All others do not have it, so if anyone comments on any post but the first, AntiSpam Bee flags it as a CSS Hack even though it is a valid comment.

Any ideas how to work around this?

No, unfortunately. The particular code in content.php is just
```
<?php if ( $multicomments == 'on' )
        $withcomments=1; comments_template( '', true ); ?>
```
If you want the comments template file I can email it to you separately.

Antispam Bee works fine on single posts, and the first post of each archive page.

There is a check for “Comment form used outside of posts”:

So this function should be triggered:

But the preg_replace is limited to 1:

Thanks – I changed the preg_replace in the code to have no limit and it seems to be working just fine. 🙂

Should this be changed for future releases or should we use an option/filter for this?

Noticed I updated Antispam bee and this change isn’t in. Can you add a filter or something so the preg_replace applies to all comment forms on a page?

The issue with current release 2.7.1 is the function populate_post_id() sets the comment id and name to be the same on every comment form on the page. This leads to “ERROR: please type a comment” messages when trying to leave a comment on any comment form besides the first one on a page.
